For me, organising is fun. The most exciting Sunday night I can imagine is pulling out all my planners, notebooks, sticky notes, notepads, and diaries and going to town on my plans for the following week. So you can IMAGINE how much my mind was blown with a NEW YEAR to plan for!

I’m taking you through the planner and diary formats I’ve opted for for 2017, and how I intend to use them. Whilst I’ll always rely on my phone calendar to keep track of appointments, I like to be able to write down all the other things going on in my life.

The notebook I’m most excited to use is the Smythson Busy Bee Panama notebook. I picked this up on sale a few months ago and I’ve been DYING to use it! If you’re unfamiliar with Smythson notebooks they are actually fascinating. They were designed to be a super portable and beautiful notebook that could bend around in your pocket (this is way back in the day when notebooks were thick heavy leather things). The leather is incredibly soft and malleable, and the soft blue pages are extremely thin, but lovely to write on.

Enough raving, on to what I’m using it for! This sweet little book I’m using as my diary. Not in the typical¬†dear diary sense, just somewhere to jot down things that happened that don’t really fit in a calendar:¬†bought a wicked Kenzo skirt on sale, Muffin jumped up on the bench and ate the rest of the Christmas ham, made pizza for dinner (legit, all true).

To keep on top of Confetti Avenue this year, I’m using two things. The first is the Louis Vuitton Small PM agenda that I’ve had for six years now, and thought it was time to show it some love! I picked up some Kikki K small planner refills, and I’m using it to keep track of my blog posts, events, and shoot days. Plus, you may have noticed the tiny Pom Pom Purin stickers my wonderful friend, Stephanie, brought me back from her trip to Japan!

I’m also using a very large Kikki K pink leather notebook for all my blog post and video planning purposes. Here I go into the detail about what each post contains, what I need to purchase or find, what shots to get, etc.

Finally I have A Sentence A Day Journal from Kikki K that I started last year. It’s a three year fun diary that gives you daily prompts to write a few words. I didn’t keep up with it too well last year so hopefully I’m back on track with it this year!

Lastly I have a large Kikki K planner (I’m so keen on Kikki K) that I’m using as a future home organiser. My boyfriend and I are currently saving for a house (we’re a long way off), and we’ve started collecting things that we find on sale. I’m using this planner as a place to record all the things we have already/buy/need to buy, finances, and interior ideas.

Well I think I’ve got a pretty good system going for 2017! Let’s hope I stick to it!
