Confetti Avenue by Charlotte Hartwell: Clearasil Confetti Avenue by Charlotte Hartwell: ClearasilWhen Clearasil asked if I’d check out some of their products to talk about on Confetti Avenue I thought why not*! It’s a bit of a flashback to my tween years and I was actually quite curious to see how Clearasil works for adult me. It’s not typically a brand that you hear of making rounds in the beauty world, but after trialling a couple of products over the past few weeks I’m surprised that no one talks about it much!

So when these two landed on my desk I was super eager to get testing but (of course) my skin was actually behaving for once. Then, lo and behold, the next day not one but two spots appear not even a millimetre apart! Excellent! I started with Rapid Action Pimple Cream and applied this a couple of times a day. This cream helps to reduce the horrendousness of pimples in four hours and I’m stoked to say that it really does. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve come to really rely on this cream. If I did anything to aggravate my skin or spots, even just washing my face, I’d put this on to calm down the spotty situation before applying makeup in the morning, or going in with any of my other skin treatments.

Now I’m not too fussed about face scrubs, I’m happy to use any as I’m not particularly loyal. When I started testing the DailyClear Vitamins and Extracts Wash I was completely consumed with the scent and trying to work out what it reminded me of (only took me two weeks but it reminds me of those Wonka Gobstoppers)! It’s a really cool colour and it has such a thick consistency which I like but it does take a bit of effort to squeeze it out of the tube. With the onset of my double-spot my skin decided it didn’t like me and broke out a little. Fast forward 10 days and I’m standing in front of the mirror confused as to how my skin cleared up so quickly and painlessly. It took me a while to realise it was the scrub because it contains my favourite spot-killing ingredient, salicylic acid! The tube does suggest to use it everyday but I think that would be too much for my skin so I use it every 2-3 days.

Overall I was very pleased and surprised with my foray into the skincare regime of 13 year old me. I’m super impressed with these two products and I’m going to check out what else Clearasil has on offer. I think it’s a brand which is commonly thought of as being a brand for teens but I think it’s being overlooked and certainly has a place in adult skincare. Check out Clearasil’s range of facial cleansers (next on my hit list is the Superfruits Refreshing Wash) and while your there have a look at their skin care guide.
