Chadstone the Fashion Capital are hosting a series of super fun DIY Denim workshops! I attended one on the weekend where we customised a pair of GAP jeans of our choice (plus there are other workshops to make your own denim inspired jewellery).
I am thrilled with how my jeans turned out! The workshop provided a huge selection of lace, leather, beads, studs, cord, gems, trim, and sparkly stuff to create your statement jeans. Once I chose to attach gold studs down the sides of my black jeans, I couldn’t stop. I loved how it looked and felt, so I decided to stud the tops of the pockets front and back, as well as the belt loops! (By the way, I’ve never worn GAP jeans before, but these are a great fit and really comfy).
I’ve never been much of a stud person but I’m already thinking about how I can use studs on more of my clothes.
My friend Jess came with me to the workshop – and why not, it was $20 for the event with free jeans and supplies! She used a range of different studs and covered the back pocket with a patch a tan leather which looks awesome.
I had so much fun at this event and I highly recommend attending! I’m looking forward to other DIY fashion events that Chadstone comes up with!
[Jess kindly took some photos of me in action studding away at my jeans! And my lovely boyfriend quickly took some photos of how I styled my jeans (I had to steal one of his tshirts)!]
