DIY GLITTER CARDS

MELBOURNE

Confetti Avenue by Charlotte Hartwell: DIY Glitter Cards

After seeing Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere’s post, I knew I had to have a go at these cute cards myself! I decided that instead of quotes, I’d try little drawings and some quick phrases.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Glue pen
  • Glitter
  • Blank cards (I picked mine up from a $2 shop)
  • Coloured paper

First I used a very light pencil (neon yellow) to outline what I wanted to glitter.

Next I used the glue pen to trace my outline and quickly sprinkled glitter all over it. The glue doesn’t dry out too fast but you don’t want to wait too long.

I even used a couple of different colours on some designs!

Here’s what they look like after shaking off the excess glitter and cleaning them up.

I made some coloured inserts for the envelopes by opening them and tracing the house shape. I then cut 1cm within the line and glued it inside the envelope.

I also framed a cute Kate Spade quote for my desk!
