DIY POM POM SNEAKERS

MELBOURNE

To be honest, this isn’t really a DIY. It’s more an assemblage of things, it’s that simple!

I keep seeing these cute pom pom sneakers everywhere but they’re too pricey considering that wearing fluff on your feet is highly susceptible to disasters. So I made my own out of my favourite Converse and some keychains! Best part about it is that they are detachable so you can swap them around and change up the colours whenever you like!

STEP ONE Locate where the chain ends and remove the last ring using the pliers. You may need to leave the end ring on if you don't have a base ring like my poms did.

STEP TWO Unlace your laces two-thirds of the way down.

STEP THREE Thread one lace through the loop on the pom, and then thread the other lace through the same hole in the opposite direction.

STEP FOUR Pull the pom pom down to sit on the top of the shoe, and do up the laces another third the way up.

STEP FIVE Add another pom pom in a contrasting colour, and lace up the rest of the shoe. Repeat on the other sneaker!

How cute is that! A good DIY is a fast DIY!
