Maybelline New York Australia have a huuuuge amount of exciting launches out in July! From foundation, mascara, brow pomade, liquid lipsticks (YES), to nail polish. But I think the products that everyone is most excited about are the gorgeous rosy The Blushed Nudes Collection!
THE BLUSHED NUDES PALETTE
This is the next instalment of The Nudes and has a very similar feel to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette with all the rosy pink shades. Some of the paler shades are a little chalky, but I love the darker ones like the copper and dark rose colours in the bottom row. They’re all shimmery to some degree, with some colours having a light sheen to others having a contrasting glitter mixed through.
COLOR SENSATIONAL BLUSHED NUDES LIP COLOUR
Maybelline has added another six shades to their Color Sensational range of lipsticks as part of The Blushed Nudes Collection. These creamy lipsticks have rose gold pigments and are all warm toned. My favourite is the darkest shade Lust Affair as it’s such a bright colour!
BLUSHED NUDES NAIL COLLECTION BY COLOR SHOW
The final parts of The Blushed Nudes Collection are the limited edition nail polishes. There are four shades: Crimson Flush 449, Mod Mauve 448, Dusty Rose 447, and Make Me Blush 446. Mod Mauve is such an interesting colour as it’s almost like a pink brown shade which is nothing like anything I have in my collection.
BROW DRAMA POMADE CRAYON
I’ve already played with the Pomade Crayon and I really like it (no surprises here as I love Maybelline’s other brow products). It’s so creamy and easy to apply, but the product sets nicely so it doesn’t smudge around. It comes in three shades Dark Blonde, Medium Brown, and Dark Brown (Dark Brown suits me perfectly).
VOLUM’ EXPRESS FALSIES PUSH UP DRAMA MASCARA and LASTING DRAMA GEL 24 HOUR AUTOMATIC PENCIL
Omg, it’s a Maybelline mascara in a different container – it’s a different shape to the other Falsies mascaras! It has a really interesting concept where the brush has cup-shaped, plastic bristles to scoop up the lashes to add volume. It’s a slick formula that separates and coats the lashes nicely.
This is Maybelline’s first gel formula eyeliner in a pencil. It’s an automatic pencil so once you twist it up it doesn’t come back down (learnt that the hard way). It’s super black, waterproof, and smudge-proof.
COLOR SENSATIONAL VIVID MATTE LIQUID LIP COLOUR
As someone who almost always wears bright lipstick, this is what I was most excited about! I literally love every single colour, which just never happens. They’re all very deep, strong colours (even the two nude shades). They have a really great formula that is so long-wearing that it passed the breakfast test.
BABY LIPS BALM & BLUSH
These just couldn’t get any cuter, just look at the packaging! The Baby Lips line has expanded to include these little lip and cheek duos with a sheer, dewy finish. The four shades are Innocent Peach 01, Flirty Pink 02, Juicy Rose 03, and Shimmering Bronze 06.
DREAM VELVET FOUNDATION and MASTER CONCEAL BY FACE STUDIO
A new, velvety, soft foundation in 10 shades that has a gel-whipped formula (feels awesome). This hydrating foundation has a soft-matte finish.
This concealer is meant to be the best thing since the Age Rewind concealer and we all know how sensational that is! Very full coverage and comes in five shades.
MASTER CONTOUR PALETTE BY FACE STUDIO
I love these kinds of palettes for travelling! It’s a face kit that includes a contour, blush, and highlight shade. This is one of my favourite new launches because the blush is beautiful! It’s a very versatile colour with the perfect amount of shimmery-ness. The highlight is creamier than the one in the previous Master Sculpt Contouring Palette which I really like. The contour colour is very warm and bronze-y for a contour shade, but it works for me just fine. There are two colour sets, Light to Medium and Medium to Deep (which I have).
MASTER FIX BY FACE STUDIO
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this makeup setting spray already! It’s a great size, smells lovely, and it sprays a very fine mist that lightly coats your skin.
I can’t wait to put everything to the test and play with them all, but I have to say that the Vivid Mattes are my current favourite new release!
