NAIL POLISH ORGANISATION

MELBOURNE

Confetti Avenue by Charlotte Hartwell: Nail Polish Organisation

It can be so difficult choosing which nail polish to use particularly when you’re staring at the lids. Here’s a project to organise your nail colours to easily view and compare them!

I’ve found these swatch sticks particularly useful when choosing which colours to pair with others or which glitter to layer on top, as you can literally pick them up and compare them! Sometimes, the colour looks different in the bottle to when it’s on your nails but painting these sticks helps you to choose more accurately.

You will need:

  • Nail swatch sticks (super cheap from eBay)
  • A fine point permanent marker
  • Your entire nail polish collection!

Start by painting each stick with the same number of coats as you would your nails.

Make sure you line up the bottle with the painted stick so you don’t forget which colour is which!

Finally, once the polish in dry, use the marker to write the brand and colour of the polish on the stem of the stick.

Now admire your pretty hard work (or freak out when you realise how many bottles you have)! My stash includes at least 50% pink so I think I won’t be buying any pink shades for a while… or any nail polish at all…
