WOOL AND THE GANG

MELBOURNE

Knitting has got to be my absolute favourite craft! I’m a massive wool-hoarder and I’ve found literally the greatest wool ever.

Wool and the Gang makes knitting unbelievably cool! They make a few different types of yarn including jersey, cotton, denim, and alpaca. Plus they create their own patterns for amazing knitted and crocheted fashion items, and even put them together in kits with needles and yarn.

I picked up the Fight the Power Mittens and the Cosy Up Clutch kits in the amazing, jumbo Crazy Sexy Yarn. It’s a super bulky weight yarn that’s made from 100% Peruvian wool.

I got the mittens kit in Magic Mint and picked up some double pointed needles too (the electric pink colour is insanely cool). The instructions are super easy to follow, and if you’re a beginner-knitter, all the stitches are explained in detail. If you need some extra help learning the ropes (yarns), WATG also have knitting tutorials online.

For the crochet clutch I bought the colour Ultra Violet. It comes with a metal clasp that snaps open and closed which you crochet around. It was such a quick kit to make and looks so cute! Especially with the little alpaca pin I bought. It easily fits my purse, phone, and keys.

I love how they both turned out and now I’ve got my eye on some much bigger kits. I’d love to knit myself a jumper!
